Once again the Chico Friends of the Library (CFOL) will be participating in the Annie B's Community Drive sponsored by the North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF). Your donation is important this year because we expect to use donated funds for costly library improvements in all areas, but especially for the meeting room's audio visual equipment. Donations you make through this drive during August and September will be matched by a percentage from major donors in the community.
In addition, CFOL applied for and was selected to participate in the City of Chico Community Grant program. Money we receive during the Annie B's Drive will also receive matching funds from that program.
To make a donation to Chico Friends of the Butte County Library, please do the following:
- Make your cash, check, debit/credit donation starting August 1st and no later than 4:00 P.M. on September 30th.
- Make checks payable to: "Annie B's/Chico Friends of the Butte County Library." Send your check to
North Valley Community Foundation
240 Main Street, Suite 260
Chico, CA 95928
- Cash donations should be put in an envelope marked "Annie B's" and placed in the CFOL box at the library's circulation desk.
We are an organization of volunteers dedicated to supporting the Chico branch of the Butte County Library. We are committed to making our library a place where families and community members can learn and grow.
We have a book sale every Saturday from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Chico Library meeting room. There are no book sales on holiday weekends when the library is closed. All proceeds support the library.
Your time keeps the library open. We need you.
For every 100 volunteer hours, Chico Friends of the Library will donate $25 to the library. That adds up when a typical quarter sees over 8,000 volunteer hours worked.
