The Chico Friends of the Butte County Library support the library in many ways. One board member says the main job of CFOL board members is to spend money on the library - a fun job if there ever was one! Besides spending money on the library, CFOL is host to many events, and participates in various community activities. Browse our Current Events to see what is coming soon.

On holiday weekends, when the library is closed, then the book sale will be postponed until the next Saturday.
Your time keeps the library open. We need you.
Volunteers generate library contributions. For every 100 hours that volunteers work in the library, the Chico Friends of the Library will donate $25. That adds up when a typical quarter sees over 8,000 volunteer hours worked.
