What We Do

We are individuals from all segments of the community of Chico, California. Our volunteer activities include:

  1. raising the community's awareness of the library
  2. shelving books
  3. sorting and classifying donated materials for our weekly book sales
  4. conducting the Saturday book sales
  5. assisting at various stations in the library
  6. raising money to buy books

... all to enhance the overall health of our library.

Fundraising activities by the Chico Friends of the Library provide supplemental support for new books, audio books and magazines, electronic equipment, furniture, children's programs and extra staff hours.

Friends of the Library groups are nationwide and their activities are supported by the American Library Association.

Consider supporting us with an online donation, or mail a check to Chico Friends of the Library, PO Box 6952, Chico CA 95927.
