FIRST FRIDAY MEMBERS BOOK SALE
Be sure to attend the members-only book sale on Friday, March 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the library’s meeting room. Members may also bring a friend to shop with smaller crowds than attend our regular Saturday sales held weekly from 9:00 to 11:30 am. There are currently many coffee table books available representing a wide range of interests. Wouldn’t someone you know appreciate the gift of one of these lovely volumes? Book sales produce substantial income that your CFOL uses to fund library improvements as well as new book purchases.
JAPANESE STORYTIME GROUP SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Please spread the word: On Saturday March 5 at 1:00 pm the Japanese storytime group will present the Chico Branch Library with a gift of 7 books from Japan, 2 carpet sweepers, a music keyboard, and a check to purchase more children’s books in Japanese. In addition there will be a puppet show, with refreshments to follow. CFOL members are very welcome to attend, as so many members supported the group’s bake and craft sale in early December.
CFOL ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD IN MAY
All CFOL members are invited to attend the Annual Meeting scheduled for May. One highlight of the meeting is the election of new officers and board members. Consider volunteering for a two year term on the CFOL board of directors. Your energy, commitment, and creativity will be a welcome addition to the outstanding leadership of the current and ongoing board members.
